Hello my favorite reader! Welcome to Joules Playhouse!

What is a joule exactly? Well, it’s a combination of my first and last name and a scientific term for talking about work, energy, or heat. This site is my playground and a place where I can release my energy or unit of joule. ❤ I manage other people’s websites for a living so I wanted to have a place to just play.

A little bit about me – I love Christmas, sewing and quilting, flowers and gardening, sudoku puzzles, and vegan food. 

I’ve worked in HR and non-profit fields for several years. On the side, I build and maintain websites, dabble in coding, manufacture and sell fabric welding hats to go under welding hoods, and sell quilting fabric and yarn on my own website, eBay and Etsy, and quilt and crochet in my “spare” time.

For you vegans out there, I try to post recipes that are easy to make with ingredients that are easy to find. I also post some non-vegan recipes for the rest of the world, as I live with carnivores and also cook for them. 🙂

You will find important things I’ve learned along the way that might help you, some of my family’s favorite recipes and some of my favorite vegan recipes, some Bible verses and thoughts, craft and quilting ideas and patterns, and just fun stuff! I hope you find some interesting and helpful tips here.
